“ Geometric Progression”
The idea for this piece is derived from various configurations of the Pythagorean
Theorem,
a life-long theme in my work. Geometry is a teaching tool. It conveys
order and balance visually.
It transmits a stability in our changing times and
world.

Library Charge Desk
 Based on the shape of a book face up and face down this piece is a linear
series of parallelograms
completely circumscribing the Sacramento Library
Charge Desk, over 100 feet long, 4 feet high and 1”D in relief.
It rolls over doors, is flat around radius corners and dimensional along
flat perimeters.
